Self-Assessment for Child Care Institutions- Implementer's Guidebook

This guidebook has been prepared for those implementing self-assessment system in Child Care Institutions. It is a significant output of the “Project for Strengthening Internal Control of Child Care Services and Developing Self-Assessment System” conducted in coordination with the Directorate General for Child Services, with technical assistance of UNICEF and the consultancy provided by Internal Inspection Division of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies.  The Training aims to increase effect and efficiency of services through successful implementation of self-assessment system in child care institutions (Only available in Turkish).

Self-Assessment for Child Care Institutions- Trainer Guidebook

This guidebook has been prepared for Self-Assessment Trainers in Child Care Institutions. It is a significant output of the “Project for Strengthening Internal Control of Child Care Services and Developing Self-Assessment System” conducted in coordination with the Directorate General for Child Services, with technical assistance of UNICEF and the consultancy provided by Internal Inspection Division of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies.  The Training aims to increase effect and efficiency of services through successful implementation of self-assessment system in child care institutions (Only available in Turkish).

Self-Assessment Guide on Child Care Services (Child-friendly version)

This Guide is the child-friendly version of Self-Assessment Guide on Child Care Services.  The Guide has been prepared in order to guide the managers and staff during the implementation of self-assessment system in accordance with the legislations and regulations in force. The primary users of the Guide are the Institution Managers and staff that will carry out the implementation. Child-friendly version of the Guidebook supported by UNICEF has been prepared in order to help children better understand and follow-up the system they are in. 

Defining and Evaluating Child Well Being Domains and Indicators Through The Eyes of Children in Turkey


This report was prepared as an initiative of UNICEF Turkey Country Office Social Policy Unit under its 2011-2015 Country Programme. It was commissioned with the aim of nurturing the discussions of the Child Well-Being Indicators Working Group composed of representatives from Ministry of Development,


Turkish Statistical Institute and Ministry of Family and Social Policies for developing a National Set of Child Well-Being Indicators.


MINIMUM STANDARDS DEVELOPED FOR CHILDREN DEPRIVED OF PARENTAL CARE HAND BOOK


This Manual; has been prepared as a summarized document for the purpose of setting implementation guidelines for the ‘28 Minimum Standards’ developed for children deprived of parental care. Please refer to the Minimum Standards included in the Management Information Systems at www.aile.gov.tr for the full text of the Minimum Standards or you may request the complete list of the Standards from your organization.


Self-Assessment Guide for Institutions Working with Children


This Guide has been prepared in order to guide the managers and staff during the implementation of self-assessment system in accordance with the legislations and regulations in force. The primary users of the Guide are the Institution Managers and staff that will carry out the implementation. During the implementation process of self-assessment, the Institutions can use other instruments and methods apart from the ones recommended in this Guide on the condition that they are not against the essential requirements. The implementation of the selfassessment system does not pose an obstacle in practicing and developing other methods in order to achieve the objectives aimed at improving the quality of services in institutions. The Guide will be revised and updated every year in line with the evaluations and the suggestions of the practitioners.
